ATENOR and 3D REAL ESTATE are pleased to have obtained the building permit which they jointly applied in December 2021, for further development of the Liv De Molens project in Deinze.
The planning permit for the second part of Liv De Molens project was approved at the Municipal Executive meeting of 20.09.2022 and has become executable since 30.11.2022. The permit concerns the demolition of certain existing buildings, the construction of 3 apartment buildings, an underground car park and a public park of over 5,000 m².
Revitalisation of a former industrial site
The Liv De Molens project is being developed along the Lys river and in the centre of Deinze, on the former Dossche Mills site. The conversion of this former industrial site will contribute to the revitalisation of the city of Deinze by offering its inhabitants a new, high-quality, mixed residential area, that preserves its historical heritage. It is an opportunity for project developers ATENOR and 3D Real Estate to demonstrate their social commitment by meeting users’ requirements including, first and foremost, housing, but also a park, as well as public, recreational and cultural spaces, and some shops.
The architecture is signed by the renowned firms Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter (master plan and 1 apartment building), URA (2 apartment buildings), B2AI (executive architect) and Antea & Atelier Arne Deruyter (landscape design). The buildings will provide 141 high-quality homes and 4 smaller commercial spaces.
The designs are in line with the vision of ATENOR and its partner 3D Real Estate to develop new residential units that meet the highest environmental standards. The energy supply for these newly licensed buildings is entirely fossil fuel-free, being sourced from geothermal heat, heat pumps and photovoltaic solar panels.
These fossil-free technical installations will ensure user comfort, while being in line with European Taxonomy and the targets for reducing the carbon footprint set by the European Commission by 2030-2050.
This permit is an element in the overall development of Liv De Molens site in Deinze, where works for the first part of the project are already under way.
