A major step for City Dox: the last permit granted
Atenor announces that it has obtained the permit for the last 15,000 m² lot of the City Dox District in Anderlecht.
Since its acquisition in 2011, the City Dox project has transformed polluted industrial land of more than 5 hectares into a lively and environmentally friendly neighbourhood. It offers a total of some 900 housing units promoting social diversity, with work spaces, a nursing home, productive activities, equipment and shops. The area runs along the recently developed public park on the banks of the canal. According to Thibaut de Poucques, Project Director, “This mixed project perfectly fulfils the regional and municipal objectives aimed at strengthening the urban fabric in the Canal area in Anderlecht. The proof is that 97% of the apartments constructed or in construction are already sold.”
This last lot includes 122 quality apartments, as well as 2,300 m² of work spaces and shops. Its architecture, signed by B-Architecten and Veld, harmoniously integrates with the neighbouring buildings under construction, designed by architect XDGA. The highlight of the site is the breathtaking view of the canal and the city from the suspended garden of this lot.
Thanks to this development, Atenor stands out for its commitment to urban transition by creating living spaces that meet current housing needs while addressing environmental challenges. The project equally satisfies the European Taxonomy criteria while eliminating the use of fossil energy thanks to innovative heat pump solutions associated with photovoltaic panels. Energy efficiency is optimised: all homes reach PEB A level, thus significantly reducing costs for future residents.
Each step, including the obtention of the planning permits, reinforces the value of the project and consolidates Atenor’s position.
