03 Social Impact
Social impact is about Atenor contribution to a sustainable community.
Atenor plays its societal role at different levels. First of all, at the level of its collaborators, then towards the occupants of its buildings – offices and residential and finally, in the cities, neighbourghoods and communities where the company is present.
Atenor’s objectives
The 5 objectives
in terms of
social impact
Promoting the well-being of occupants
The importance of building interiors for health and well-being is widely recognised. At Atenor, we design buildings that are real places to live, work, relax and develop, thereby contributing to the well-being of their occupants. We pay particular attention to spaces dedicated to personal well-being, air and water quality, good lighting, terraces, well-designed surfaces, green spaces, communal gardens, as well as ground floors with concierge services, shops, services and liberal professions. All of this is carefully considered at the design stage of our buildings.
Improving the urban environment
For each new project, we take into account the improvements that need to be made to neighbourhood life as a whole. This is all the more necessary as the urban population continues to grow, putting public space under pressure. The creation of a park, public gardens, or active ground floors where shops, an art gallery or the professions can take their place, all help to create a social and economic dynamic.
In partnership with local associations, we bring our buildings to life to help revitalise neighbourhoods. In The Hague, for example, we hosted Laak Expo, a temporary exhibition for local and international artists. In Bucharest, exhibitions and events are regularly organised on the ground floor of the @Expo project.
Supporting philanthropic organisations
Philanthropic organisations often contribute to neighbourhood life. As vehicles for social cohesion, these organisations are close to local residents and respond to real needs. They provide a wide range of services, particularly to the most disadvantaged groups.
In 2022, we renewed our partnerships, to the tune of around €100,000, with various associations fighting poverty in most of the towns where we operate.
Maintaining a corporate culture that is a source of fulfilment
Every employee must be able to identify with the company’s culture if they are to feel proud to be part of it. Atenor makes sure that everyone makes the values and best practices their own, and encourages everyone to join in and get involved. Atenor boasts a high talent retention rate (8% turnover rate of voluntary departures in 2022). Every effort is made to keep turnover below 10%.
